Updated 15 April 2026

Introducing the Mazda 6e, a family EV that combines Japanese elegance with advanced technology. The 6e is only Mazda’s second fully electric vehicle, and its efficient charging system makes it extremely functional without compromising performance. A meticulous design and modern safety features have landed this car a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP.

Equipped with a 258hp electric motor and a 68.9kWh LFP battery, WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure) estimates that you can get 299 miles from a single charge. In addition, it has a formidable efficiency of 4.34m/kWh. Its rechargeability is very impressive too, allowing for a 10-80% recharge in 25mins with a DC charger (public charger).

There is also a long-range model which uses an 80kWh NMC battery. It offers 342 miles (WLTP) from a single charge, but charging takes longer than the standard model with a maximum charge speed of 90kW.

The Mazda 6e comes in 7 different colour options, and there are two different grades. Takumi has two different interior designs both finished with a high-quality artificial leather. Then there is the Takumi Plus which has a few extra additions such as the addition of premium materials and an electric sunshade for the panoramic sunroof.

Mazda have spent time on the finer details of this car, it even comes with its own ‘Mazda 6e’ app to use as a Bluetooth key, vehicle sharing, checking charging status, and even climate control for those sub-zero mornings.

"What impresses me most about the 6e is its seamless combination of style and practicality, particularly with the Takumi Plus grade. The caramel Nappa leather and soft suede create perhaps the most luxurious interior that we have ever seen from a Mazda. Over 450 litres of luggage space in the boot and 72 litres in the front storage compartment really highlight just how functional this car is, without compromising its sleek and elegant design."
