Hyundai i30 Review
The second generation Hyundai i30 takes quality to an all-new level. Offering the perfect blend of styling, practicality, performance and efficiency, the new Hyundai i30 is the perfect all-round family motor – and is now on show at T W White and Sons’ Weybridge showroom in Surrey.
Hyundai’s new family hatchback has been designed to really turn heads. The new car uses the firm’s fluidic sculpture design language seen across the range. This incorporates sweeping, flowing lines and brilliant premium detailing to create an effortless piece of design with stunning muscular tension.
Inside, the new i30’s interior is more than a match for any executive saloon. The cool blue backlighting and alloy effect trim create a truly refined and relaxing ambience, with equipment such as Bluetooth connectivity with voice recognition, steering wheel-mounted audio controls and an MP3-compatible stereo coming as standard on all trim levels.
With four different trim variations on offer, there’s scope to create your perfect Hyundai i30, too – features such as a premium six-speaker audio system, one-touch electric windows, cruise control with speed limiter, front and rear parking sensors, touchscreen satellite navigation and a rear view reverse parking camera are all available on the i30.

The range opens with the efficient 100hp 1.4-litre petrol, returning 47.1mpg combined with just 139g/km CO2 emissions, and is topped by the excellent 128hp 1.6-litre CRDi turbodiesel with Hyundai’s Blue Drive eco-focussed technology. This variant returns an amazing 74.3mpg combined with just 100g/km CO2, ensuring the Hyundai i30 will be cheap to run and amazingly refined.
With all engines offering swift, effortless performance, and in combination with Hyundai’s innovative Flex Steer system that alters the steering feel between Comfort and Sport at the press of a button, the new i30 will also be extremely rewarding to drive.
