The typical contract hire arrangement is simple: you lease a vehicle for a fixed period of time, for a set number of miles, for a fixed rental. All you have to do is insure the vehicle, fill it with fuel and return the vehicle to us at the end of the contract. The rental agreement covers everything from depreciation risk, to breakdown cover and road fund licence for the duration of the contract, and can encompass full maintenance cover to include tyre replacement.
For companies, contract hire remains the most popular funding option because it's a cost-effective way to acquire business vehicles. As a fixed-cost, off-balance-sheet solution, it helps with budgeting and cash flow. At the end of the contract period, you simply return the vehicle(s), and provided all the terms of the agreement have been met, we arrange delivery of your new one(s). Typically, contract hire has proven ideal for public limited companies (PLCs), limited companies, partnerships, sole traders, charities, local authorities and private individuals.
